Weight Watchers® meetings give you the tools you need to succeed. Your success on the program is enhanced in an environment of group support. Each week in your meeting you’ll hear great strategies from people who are facing the same challenges as you. If you hit a rough patch, you will get support and encouragement to keep going.
There are no forbidden foods on the Weight Watchers food plan. Every food is assigned a SmartPoints™ value based on calories per serving, sugar, saturated fat, and protein content. Weight Watchers takes complex nutritional information and helps members make choices that maximize satisfaction while supporting weight loss progress. Weight Watchers meetings give you an opportunity to learn more about eating good food while making the most of your Daily SmartPoints Target.
Being active helps you look and feel great while losing weight. It's an important component in staying at goal. Activity burns calories. It builds, preserves, and tones muscle tissue. Muscle tissue burns more calories than fat does—even when the body is at rest. Weight Watchers encourages physical activity by providing members with personalized fitness goals. Getting active earns you FitPoints. If you feel a little hungry some days, you can turn FitPoints into SmartPoints—one for one! All activity counts and Weight Watchers meetings can inspire you to try new and fun activities you may not have discovered on your own.
As a meeting member you will receive all the tools you need to be successful with Weight Watchers. You’ll receive a full set of written program materials including our program booklet, Beyond the Scale Plan Guide. Your weekly meeting starts with a private weigh-in followed by a group discussion to help prepare you for the upcoming week and to stay motivated to overcome any challenges you may encounter. Meetings are only 30 minutes long. If you need additional support in between meetings, you may attend as many meetings in one calendar week as you like at no additional charge, although you may only weigh in one time each week.
